Family Mission Adventures
Purpose Destinations will take your family on a short-term mission trip to empower local ministries and to bless those in need, while at the same time giving your children a depth of experience that will transform their lives. Your children are your best ministry tool. Will you allow your children to run and play at the playground with the children from the slums? This could open hearts that otherwise would have never opened.
Your Children
God has also called your children to serve and as they discover their identity in Christ. You will see the excitement in your child’s eyes about evangelism and ministry. Will you offer them the gift of empathy for others? Give your children a chance, and their enthusiasm will spur you on.
About the Director: Sean Sanborn
I grew up as a missionary kid in Thailand and my parents claim that I, and my siblings, were the best ministry tools they ever had. As adults, my wife and I returned to Thailand as missionaries where we served under YWAM for 12 years as church planters and serving short-term teams. YWAM is a Christian Missionary organization that is interdenominational as well as international. When our 2 children were preschoolers, we relocated to YWAM Tampa Bay where we have continued to take teams on mission trips to Asia and the Caribbean. I speak Thai fluently and am at home all over Asia. I bring to the table, years of mission experience and years of trust with local contacts and have offered this for many hundreds of outreach team members. I have also distilled the best adventures down to a handful of favorites and packed them within a few short days.
My family
The memories our family holds dearest is when we minister together in far-off lands, and I have no doubt your experience will be the same. Your family will form bonds of memories that you will cherish for the rest of your lives.
Logistics:
Our role is to coordinate the logistics of your trip, arranging the travel and ministry schedules. We will minister as a team and debrief at the end of each day.
This next part is what sets us apart.
The level of difficulty of your trip is up to you.
There are people called to endure great hardships for the gospel. We may visit them, but that is not what our teams will be doing. Our lodging will be peaceful and air-conditioned. Our meals will be delicious and sanitary. Our transport will be as safe as we can manage. We are not tourist missions, but we will take time to recuperate and enjoy time with our family. We will enjoy recreation, pools, and water-parks. We believe that helping people doesn’t need to be separated from having a fun time. We have assembled experienced experts in various fields to assist you in impacting our world. Serving those in need shouldn’t be a stressful chore. It should flow out of the joy and love in your heart. Working and laughing together as we meet needs. Your life can impact the world and we want to help you to make this world a happier place.
